Really busy today and tomorrow. I'm taking a crush course for the weekend. It's going to take me from 8.00 am till late into the night. (Stealing sometime in between to blog. Like I mentioned...new found anti-stress therapy.)
Will try to put up more pictures on Monday. I've done up some rings and there are more jeans to show. My dream is to make a video to show how to D.I.Y. your jeans and junk jewelry. Have a great day/

This is one of the junk jewellery made with remnant denim fabric, fly button, some beads and leather like string. I first mold some brass wire to a pendant shape, then, weave all the other items thru the wires until I get a look that looks good to me. Thats it, takes about 20mins to create one with the help of a plier of course. Next time you think of something you want to get ride of.....think recycle. My Journey
Come to think about it, Denim & Lace fits me to a tee.....
When I was born, grandma is so upset that her 2nd grand child is a girl again.....So.....she insisted that I'm dress like a boy. I wonder what would happen if the 3rd one is a girl?????...Thank God it turn out to be a boy. Though just for 2 years dress as a boy, I think the impact did somehow lingers on......
During my teen years, I took up Tea-kwan-do and folk and Latin dance simultaneously and was rather serious about both activity.
I enter the work force defending the country for 8 years. Army feels like not much different from school day. Well disciplined, never boring...Get to climb 3tonners, shot riffles, built 2-men tent, go without sleep for 36hrs, road march ect. I was the first batch of lady combat NCO. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
After that I decided to go into the real world. Nothing I imagine it to be. Must get into your immediate boss good book. She is not married, stays in the office overtime. Everyone in the office plays politics. If you don't take sides arrow will shoot from both ends.....aiyoh, very painful leh....So how?
I left the work force and took up beauty course full time for 2 full years while working part-time. Set up a salon with my cousin and partner. We named it "complexion connection". Much to the envy of my friends, I am able to have my interest as my career.
After my first child, becoming a full-time mummy comes naturally. Never struggle with that decision or regretted it. After all I could scale down and work from home. Now my kids are in secondary schools.
Seb spotted a preview for Internet Marketing and encourage me to attend. I became really excited about it. My family is having a financial downturn and I thought this would be a way to turn the situation around. After sourcing for the most value added Internet Marketing Coach, I decided to join Stuart Tan's class. Here I am, Just after one night of Technical class ( I know next to nothing about computers.) I am blogging away......Hurray..... must pray for my spirit to remain high and hopeful towards a new chapter of my life.

What a beautiful day.
Wake up with light showers in the morning, what a blessing. Today is going to be a real hectic day even though it is a public holiday. My group of senior aunties of 5 is coming for facial. It's been a long time that my days are so packed and well utilized. I'm not complaining though. It gives me a sense of purpose and achievements. The only ones that loose out will probably be my hubby and 2 sons, no home cook food, sorry. Hopefully, today, my friend will be able to have the photo shots of my jeans ready to post on the blog.

About myself
Hi, this is Kate. I am a beautician who works from home. Pampering people is my second love, and my first love? Jeans, jeans, jeans and more jeans. In the disco era everybody go crazy with branded jeans that cost between $300 -$500. I definitely would not pay for it especially when u can spot many people on the street wearing the same pair. So, I decided to create my own pair of $300 worth pair of jeans that cost me only $29. in the span of 18 years, I've created about 50 pairs of jeans. Not all successful but certainly have a few pairs that people will stop me on the street and ask where had I bought it. I use all sorts of medium like studs, eyelets, ropes, leather, fabric paint, lace etc. I would even stain, bleach and distress my jeans. When I'm tired of it, I'll turn it into a book-cover or a bag! Any like minded people out there or anyone like some tips to start with? I'm most willing to share my passion of giving jeans a second life.
